Ideology â€Å"An ideology is a set of conscious and unconscious ideas that constitute one’s goals, expectations, and actions.† Today term ideology is used in many ways, which sometimes it is difficult to describe. Based on dictionary, an ideology is the body of ideas reflecting the social needs and aspirations of a(n) individual, group, class, or culture. I think from the definitions that I wrote above, ideology is the understanding that if propagated and practiced in the community then it’s called ideology. So, if someone shares something that we all understand or belief, we can call it an ideology. For example, a group of people living near the wilderness might share the ideology that it is not wise to venture into the bush alone and at night. Another example is that people who live in the city, for the most part, might believe that it make sense to look both ways before crossing a street.
